This is a petition under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator for making the arbitral award.

It is stated that disputes arose between the parties and an Arbitrator was appointed to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties. It is stated that pleadings were completed and the mandate of the Arbitrator was extended for a period of six months by mutual consent of the parties on 03.08.2024.

on 02.03.2025, the Petitioner has approached this Court by filing the instant petition for extension of mandate of the Arbitrator. 4.

Learned Counsel for the Respondent states that the Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitrator. 5.

Keeping in view the facts of the case and since the matter is at the stage of final arguments, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitrator from 02.03.2025 till 28.02.2026 so that the Award can be pronounced and no further extension of time would be required by the learned Arbitrator.

The petition is disposed of along with pending application(s), if any.
