This petition has been filed with the following prayers: "a) Issue a writ, order or direction quashing the impugned signal dated 20.02.2026 and orders dated 21.02.2026 issued by the Respondents whereby the Petitioners have been repatriated to their parent cadre without being considered for permanent absorption in the BSF Engineering Set-up;
b) Issue a writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to consider and take appropriate steps for permanent absorption of the Petitioners in the post of Head Constable (Generator Operator) in the BSF Engineering Set-up, in accordance with the Border Security Force (Engineering/Electrical) Group 'C' Posts Recruitment Rules, 2012 and the Standard Operating Procedure dated 31.01.2013.In the alternative direct the Respondents to post the Petitioner as Head Constables in the case of their repatriation to the BSF (General Duty) cadre;" 2.

counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the writ petition so as to enable the petitioner approach the Court of competent jurisdiction. 3.
We have enquired from the learned counsel for the respondents, whether the petitioner has been released or not, the counsel for the respondents states he has not received any instructions in that regard. 4.
In case the petitioner has not been released, we direct that the petitioner shall not be released, till 20.03.2026, by which time he shall approach the Court of competent Jurisdiction. 5.
The petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The pending application is also disposed of as having become infructuous. V.
