% 06.02.2019 The petitioner is aggrieved by the pendency of FIR No. 108/2011 registered at Police Station, Preet Vihar, Delhi on 04.05.2011. More than 71⁄2 years have passed and the case is nowhere near conclusion. In the year 2016, the State had said that the Chargesheet is ready and would be filed shortly. However, despite a lapse of 21⁄2 years, the Chargesheet has not been filed on behalf of the State. The petitioner submits that the criminal investigation is causing him immense harassment and anxiety and requests for direction of an expeditious disposal of the criminal case. He submits that earlier at his request, the case was referred to the Mediation Centre, however, the complainant defaulted in appearance for mediation. The learned counsel for the State submits, upon instructions from the

Investigating Officer, that Chargesheet shall be filed within two days. Be that as it may, apropos inordinate delay in filing of Chargesheet, the DCP concerned shall look into the matter and will take appropriate steps against the officials concerned within four weeks from today. In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the petition at this stage with liberty to approach the Court in case of any difficulty.
