The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 BNSS seeking the following relief:

A. Issue writ/order of directing the Respondent no. 2 and 3 to take appropriate step and to give police protection to the Petitioners life and liberty against the Respondent no. 4 to 7, as there exists imminent threat on the life and liberty of the Petitioner and they may attack and kill the Petitioner at any point of time. B. To further direct Respondent no. 2 and 3 to prevent the Petitioners from any further attack or creating any hinderance, obstruction or nuisance in the peaceful living of the Petitioner by the Respondent no. 4 to 7.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was born and brought up in Delhi.

In the year 2023, she was introduced to a boy namely, Mr. Anit, who was residing near her neighbourhood. wanted to marry Anit but her family members were against such alliance because the petitioner and Anit were from different religion. 5.

He further submits that the parents of the petitioner forcefully took the petitioner to Bihar and got her married to another person, however, the husband of the petitioner used to abuse and beat her. 6.

He submits that to save herself, the petitioner in January 2025 fled away from her matrimonial home and came to her friend Anit and since then, she is living with him.

He further submits that the petitioner has been subjected to mental and physical harassment and there is constant threat to her life and liberty from the respondent nos. 4 to 7, who are her parents and her brothers. 8.

In view of the above, issue notice. The learned Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice.

Having regard to the nature of relief sought, the present petition can be disposed of at this stage itself without calling any counter-affidavit/Status Report from the State.

Accordingly, the respondent nos. 1 to 3 are directed to provide the mobile numbers of the concerned beat constables of the area to the present petitioner. In the event any distress call is received from the present petitioner, the same shall be attended to on urgent basis in accordance with law. 11.
