The Petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers: "1. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus or any other nature directing Respondent No. 2 to register the society under section 3 of The Society Registration Act, 1860 in the name of "Colors Housing Society Welfare" without any undue delay in a time bound manner.

2. Pass such other and further orders as may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case." 2.

There is no appearance on behalf of the Respondents since 21.02.2023. On 17.08.2023 notice was issued to the Standing Counsel for the GNCTD to ensure that there is representation on behalf of the State in the matter. Despite Notice there is no appearance on behalf of the State even today.

The facts of the case reveal that the Petitioner had filed an application along with all the necessary documents for registration of the Society. It is stated that since the Society has not been registered, the Petitioner gave a representation to the concerned Department on 29.01.2022. 4.

Material on record indicates that the said representation has yet not been considered.

At this juncture, this Court deems it expedient to direct SDM, Dwarka to consider the representation of the Petitioner and take a decision thereon within a period of eight weeks from today.

Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to the approach this Court in case no decision is taken or a decision is taken rejecting the Petitioner's application.

The Writ Petition is disposed of along with the pending applications, if any.
