CRL.M.C. 237/2018 1.

The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.224/2014 under Sections 457/380/411/120-B/34 IPC.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the parties have settled their disputes and Compromise Deed dated 04.01.2018 has been executed whereunder the petitioners had agreed to pay a sum of Crl.M.C.237/2018

Rs.2,50,000/- to respondent No.2.

Respondent No.2 is present in person and is identified by the Investigating Officer. He confirms that the sum of Rs.2,50,000/- has been received by him in cash in the Court today. He further submits that he has no objection to the quashing of the subject FIR and he does not wish to prosecute the complaint any further. 4.

In view of the fact that the parties have settled their disputes and the petitioners have paid to respondent No.2 the agreed sum of Rs.2,50,000/- and respondent No.2 does not wish to press any charges and prosecute the complaint any further, no fruitful purpose in continuing with the prosecution. It would further be expedient and in the interest of justice to quash the FIR and the consequent proceedings.

In view of the above, FIR No.224/2014, under Sections 457/380/411/120-B/34 IPC and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
