I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have examined the file. The petitioner was granted parole vide order dated 12.12.2017 for a period of four weeks from the date of his release to enable him to attend his wife suffering from psychiatric ailments in the nature of depression and suicidal tendencies. 3.
The petitioner has since surrendered after availing four weeks parole from 23.12.2017 to 20.01.2018. Status report reveals that the petitioner's wife was admitted at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in female psychiatry ward on 16.01.2018. However, she left the ward on 18.01.2018 against medical advice.
