The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks. The petitioner has sought parole on the ground that his daughter is getting married on 21.02.2020 and the lagan ceremony is scheduled to take place on 09.02.2020.

A status report has been filed and the said facts have been verified. A nominal roll has also been filed, which indicates that the petitioner's conduct in the jail has been satisfactory. The petitioner was sentenced to life and has already served approximately fourteen years and nine months (including remission earned). It is seen that the petitioner has been released on parole and furlough on numerous occasions and there is no allegation that he has

misused the said liberty.

Considering the above, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition.

The petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of two weeks from the date of his release, subject to petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the trial court. The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi. He shall provide his mobile number and ensure that he is reachable at all times. 4.

The petition stands disposed of.
