The petitioners, who are father and son, have filed this writ petition seeking the following reliefs:

"1.

Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction(s) directing the Respondents/State (Govt. of NCT. Of Delhi)/Police Authorities to provide an adequate police protection to the Petitioners and their family to ensure their safety and security, considering the threats posed by the gang of Lawrance Bishnoi and Goldy Barar and their associates, 2.

Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction(s) directing the Respondents/State (Govt. of NCT. Of Delhi)/Police Authorities to register an FIR forthwith on the complaint submitted by the Petitioner, 3.

Pass such further or other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and to uphold the fundamental rights of the Petitioner."

It is contended by the petitioners that petitioner No. 2, who has a real estate and financial business, has received threatening extortionrelated calls from unknown numbers, with the callers identifying themselves as members of gangs.

At the very outset, Mr. Abhinav Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioners, seeks to withdraw the petition as far as petitioner No. 1 is concerned.

As far as petitioner No. 2 is concerned, Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, states that the FIR has already been registered on the basis of the aforesaid complaint, being FIR No.107/2026 dated 17.03.2026, registered at Police Station Rajouri Garden, and that the police authorities will proceed in accordance with law. Mr. Bhandari also states that a threat assessment report has been sent to the competent authority, as far as petitioner No. 2 is concerned. He assures that necessary action will be taken on both these aspects expeditiously.

In the meanwhile, Mr. Bhandari is directed to provide the telephone numbers of the Station House Officer of Police Station Rajouri Garden [Mobile No.: +91 8750871127, +91 9996927870], so that petitioner No. 2 may contact him in the event of any exigency. 6.

As no further orders are sought in this writ petition, the petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
