Upon notice being issued in the petition on 08.02.2019, Mr. Abhishek Sharma has entered appearance on behalf of the respondent. Learned counsel for the respondent says that he does not wish to file a reply as he does not oppose the prayer made in the petition for extension of time. 2.

The record shows that this Court had appointed a sole Arbitrator vide order dated 13.07.2017. The learned Arbitrator entered upon reference on 19.07.2017.

2.1 After the expiry of the statutory period of 12 months parties, I am told, parties mutually agreed to extend the time to conclude the arbitration proceedings by a further period of six months. The extended time frame came to an end on 19.01.2019.

Counsel for the parties inform me that the matter is at the stage of evidence.

Accordingly, having regard to the time and money invested by the parties, further six months are granted for concluding the arbitration proceedings and for pronouncing the award. The time for this purpose will commence from 20.01.2019.
