% 28.01.2020 1.

The grievance of the petitioner is limited. It is prayed in this writ petition that a direction be passed to the respondent-CIC to dispose of the second appeal filed by the petitioner in a time bound manner. 2.

It has been pleaded that on 27.10.2018, the petitioner filed an RTI application. This application was declined by the CPIO stating it to be harmful to the commercial interest of the NHPC on 13.11.2018. First appeal was also rejected on 13.02.2019. The petitioner filed a second appeal on 22.03.2019. It is stated that on a telephonic conversation with the Registry of the respondent, the petitioner was informed that appeals filed in the year 2016-17 were presently listed before the Commission. Despite several efforts, it is pleaded that the second appeal of the petitioner has not been heard.

3.

The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the CIC by moving an

appropriate application for early hearing. In case such an application is filed, the CIC is requested to look into the same and expedite the hearing of the appeal, preferably within a period of six months from today. 4.

The petition stands disposed of.
