The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the daughter of the petitioner, Ms.Nandini.

On the advance notice of this petition, Ms.Nandani has appeared before us.

She submits that she is employed and is presently staying with her friend and does not wish to return to her parental home. Similar statement has been given by her before the learned JMFC, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 16.03.2026, as is reflected from the Status Report dated 17.03.2026 handed over by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent no.1.

As Ms.Nandini is admittedly a major, she is entitled to decide where she wishes to stay.

In view of the above, no further direction is required to be passed in the present case. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
