The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents/MCD to demolish the structure constructed over C-2, Gulmohar Avenue, Jamia Nagar, Delhi.

None appears on behalf of the petitioner even on the second call. 3.

Counsel appears on behalf of the respondent no.1/MCD and submits that a demolition order in respect of the subject property was passed on 1st June, 2023, after issuing a Show Cause Notice to the owner/occupier. Pursuant to that, demolition action has been taken on 1st October, 2025. 4.

A watch and ward notice was also issued to the SHO, Police Station Jamia Nagar on 3rd October, 2025, calling upon them to keep a strict vigil for any construction on the subject property. A sealing order was also passed on 28th July, 2025, pursuant to which, the property has been sealed. Photographs have been handed over to show that the property remains sealed as on date.

The documents handed over on behalf of the respondent no.1/ MCD in Court are taken on record.

In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of. 7.

In the event the petitioner has any further grievance with regard to unauthorised construction, he is at liberty to take appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

All rights, contentions and legal remedies of the owners/occupiers of the subject property shall remain protected.
