The petitioners have filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, seeking the following reliefs:

"a. issue a writ of mandamus or writ of any other nature, order(s), direction(s) to the respondents thereby directing the respondent no.1 to 6 to protect the dignity and liberty of petitioners and direct the the respondent no.4 to not call the petitioner no.1 in police station without due process of law and not to illegally & unlawfully harass, humiliate and torture the petitioners to compromise with their life, dignity and liberty in any manner whatsoever, in the interest of justice. b. Any other or further order(s) which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be passed in favour the petitioners and against the respondents." It is the contention of the petitioners that three FIRs have been registered against petitioner No. 1 and his family members, being FIR No. 141/2023 dated 29.03.2023, under Sections 384/387/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ["IPC"]; FIR No. 144/2023 dated 29.03.2023, under Sections 323/341/34 of the IPC; and FIR No. 145/2023 dated 30.03.2023, under Sections 186/353/332/34 of the IPC, all registered at Police Station Nabi Karim, District Central, New Delhi.

The contention raised in the writ petition is that the petitioners are suddenly summoned to the Police Station at odd hours, and that the police officials also visit their residence regularly. 4.

Mr. Shiv Kumar Gautam, learned counsel for the petitioners, upon instructions from the petitioners, who are present in person, submits that the petitioners seek limited relief to the effect that, if they are to be summoned to the Police Station, the same be done in accordance with law.

Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, who appears on advance notice, submits that petitioner No.1 is, in fact, on the Register of Bad Characters of the area, in accordance with the Punjab Police Rules. However, he states, upon instructions from SI Sonu Kumar, that if any of the petitioners are required at the Police Station, the police will proceed in accordance with law.

As no further orders are pressed in this writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the above submissions.
