By way of present writ petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of history sheet opened against him thereby declaring him as a 'Bad Character' as well as entry of his name in the Surveillance Register-X, Part II at P.S. BHD Nagar, New Delhi.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner's representation to the DCP has remained pending and unanswered. A copy of the representation is placed on record.

Mr. Sinha, ld. ASC for the State, on instructions, submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered and disposed of within two weeks from today taking into account the recent decisions of the Supreme Court including in Amanatullah Khan v The Commissioner of Police & Ors. reported as 2024 5 SCR 927.
