% 11.02.2019 This is a petition filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The petitioners claim to be regular street vendors vending at Sarojini Nagar, Delhi. By way of this petition, petitioners seek a direction to the respondents to consider their applications for grant of Tehbazari license. Counsel for the respondent/NDMC, who enters appearance on an advance copy, submits that the petitioners are not regular street vendors. Their names do not find mentioned in the list of 628 prepared by MCD nor any challan has been filed which bears the name of any of the petitioners herein. At this stage, counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had approached the Town Vending Committee (TVC) to consider their applications, which were not accepted. Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners
will again approach the TVC to consider their applications. However, it would be open for the TVC to consider their applications in accordance with law. We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The writ petition and CM APPL 6316/2019 are disposed of.
