Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.

This is a petition filed under Section 29 A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for completion of arbitration proceedings and rendering of the award. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the arbitration proceedings were initiated pursuant to an order passed by this Court. He submits that though the proceedings before the arbitral tribunal are about to conclude and the matter is listed for final arguments, the mandate of the Arbitrator will be expiring on 05.02.2020. He further submits that the time was extended by this Court on an earlier occasion also and, therefore, prays that the time frame may be

extended for a further period of six months effective from 06.02.2020. 4.

Issue notice. Learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, does not oppose the said prayer. 5.

In these circumstances, keeping in view the fact that much time and labour has already been invested in the ongoing arbitration proceeding, the time for completion of arbitration proceedings and rendering of award is extended by six months effective from 06.02.2020.
