The instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been filed on behalf of petitioner seeking issuance of appropriate writ/order/direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing order dated 18.01.2023 passed by the competent authority, and writ/direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of four weeks.

As directed vide order dated 03.01.2024, nominal roll of the petitioner has been received.

This Court notes that as per nominal roll, 24 days are reflected as unexpired portion of sentence as of 22.01.2024.
