W.P.(C) 1379/2019 The grievance of the petitioner seems to be that the task force created as per the orders of the Supreme Court in the case of M.C. Mehta v. Union of India W.P.(C) 4677/1985 has not taken any action in the matter for removal of unauthorized construction.
A task force has been constituted pursuant to the directions issued by the Supreme Court and we are informed that the Supreme Court is monitoring the functioning of the task force, and in case it fails in spite of the directions issued by the Supreme Court and the notification issued by the Delhi Development Authority on 25th April, 2018 and 27th May, 2018, as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court on 24th April, 2018 in the case of M.C. Mehta v. Union of India, W.P.(C) 4677/1985, the petitioner should approach the Hon'ble Supreme Court by filing an appropriate application complaining about the inaction by the Task Force. With the aforesaid liberty to the petitioner we dispose of the matter. CHIEF JUSTICE V. KAMESWAR RAO, J FEBRUARY 11, 2019/jg
