% 29.01.2020 1.

This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for completion of arbitration proceedings and rendering of the award. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the learned Arbitrator was appointed pursuant to an order passed by this Court on 15.07.2018 and despite the best efforts of the parties, arbitration proceedings have not yet been completed. She further submits that the time for completion of proceedings was extended by six months by this court's order dated 12.07.2019 and, therefore, prays that as the mandate of the Arbitrator is expiring on 01.02.2020, the time frame for completion of proceedings and rendering of the award be extended for a further period of six months effective from 01.02.2020.

3.

Issue notice. Learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, does not oppose the said prayer. 4.

In these circumstances, keeping in view the fact that much time and labour has already been invested in the matter, the time for completion of arbitration proceedings and rendering of award is extended by six months effective from 01.02.2020. 5.

The petition is disposed of.
