The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no.1 to take appropriate action against respondent nos. 3 and 4.

The petitioners claim that they have married against the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1. It is further averred that on 25.01.2020, respondent nos.3 and 4 along with some other persons had come to the address of the petitioners and had tried to drag petitioner no.1 away. They
also issued threats to kill the petitioners to defend their honour. 5.
In view of the above, the petitioners are apprehensive about their safety.

Considering the averments made in the present petition, this Court directs the concerned SHO, P.S. Adarsh Nagar to evaluate the threat perception and afford the petitioners such protection, as he considers necessary. The SHO shall also provide the mobile number of the Beat Constables to the petitioners so as to seek assistance in case of any eventuality. The SHO shall also examine their complaint and take such action as warranted, in accordance with law.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 8.
