The present writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of the Bill/ Notice dated 4th November, 2025, issued by the respondent/ NDMC to the petitioners demanding house tax of Rs. 44,54,37,321/-. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that the aforesaid Bill has been issued without passing any fresh assessment order as directed by this Court vide order dated 9th May, 2023 in W.P.(C) 6079/2023. 3.

Mr. Saurabh Seth, ASC appearing on behalf of the respondent/NDMC confirms, on instructions, that no assessment has been passed in terms of the order passed by this Court on 9th May 2023, in W.P.(C) 6079/2023. In view thereof, the present petition is allowed and the impugned Bill/ Notice dated 4th November, 2025 is quashed. It is directed that the respondent/NDMC shall pass a speaking order after giving a hearing to the petitioner.
