Mr. Puneet Garg and Mr. Nitesh Gupta, Advocates.

versus STATE OF NCT OF DELHI ..... Respondent Through:

Mr. Sanjay Lao, ASC for State.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAJMI WAZIRI

O R D E R

% 12.02.2019 The petitioner seeks parole for three months to file an SLP. He is already out on furlough for three weeks, which expires tomorrow i.e. on 13.02.2019. He could well have availed this period for the aforesaid purpose. The petitioner states that he is in touch with his counsel, but the process of filing the SLP will take some more time. Since the petitioner is already out on furlough and his conduct is otherwise stated to be satisfactory, his constitutional right to seek acquittal against his conviction ought not to be impeded in any way.

In the circumstances, he is granted parole for a period of three weeks effective from 14.02.2019 on the same terms and conditions on which he is out on furlough.

The petition stands disposed-off in the above terms. A copy of this order be communicated to the Jail Superintendent concerned through the police.
