This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ['BNSS'] for issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent to produce the minor daughter of the petitioner.

The learned Standing Counsel has handed over a copy of the Status Report dated 13.04.2026, which is taken on record. The Status Report states that the missing girl has since been recovered and brought back to Delhi on 20.03.2026. Her MLC was conducted and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. her statement under Section 183 of BNSS was recorded on 02.04.2026. Based on the said statement, offences under Section 65(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 have been added in FIR no. 76/2026 and further investigation is being undertaken.

The Status Report further indicates that the girl was produced before the Child Welfare Committee, which after due deliberation has handed over the custody of the girl to her mother, that is, the petitioner herein.

In view of the above developments, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The petition accordingly stands disposed of.
