% 03.03.2020 It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is only 22 years of age and has been in incarcerated for six months for the offence alleged to have been committed by the petitioner being triable by a Magistrate.
On behalf of the State it has been submitted that the applicant is allegedly involved in the commission of the Highway Robbery between sunset and sunrise which is an offence falling within the ambit of Section 392(2) thereof of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 which offence is punishable upto fourteen years and it is further submitted that the charges are yet to be framed.
On a consideration of the submissions that have been made on behalf of either side and the gravity of allegations levelled against the petitioner, there is no ground for grant of bail. The petition is declined.
