After some hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner confines himself to raising a grievance as regards the manner in which Clause-5 of the impugned guidelines for recognition and operation of assaying and hallmarking centres are being applied by the concerned respondents. He submits that the manner of the application of the said guidelines is causing grave prejudice to the members of the petitioner (Indian Association of Hallmarking Centers).

After some hearing, ewith the consent of respective counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the present writ petition as a representation and to pass a reasoned order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 3.
