Issue notice. Mr. Yasir Rauf Ansari, learned Additional Standing Counsel (Criminal), accepts notice on behalf of the State. 2.

By way of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioners seek issuance of appropriate directions to respondent Nos. 1 to 3 for providing necessary police protection to them against respondent No. 4, in view of an apprehended threat to their lives and safety.

Mr. Alamgir, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that respondent No. 4, who is the daughter-in-law of petitioner Nos. 1 and 2, has been repeatedly indulging in acts of violence, creating nuisance in the household, and extending threats to falsely implicate the petitioners in criminal cases. including an incident dated 14.02.2026, which was reported to the police and is stated to be captured in CCTV footage. 4.

It is also submitted that despite complaints dated 05.05.2025 and 17.02.2026 made to Police Station Jamia Nagar, no effective action has been taken, and the petitioners continue to face a serious threat to their lives and property at the hands of respondent No. 4. 5.

In view of the apprehended threat, Mr. Ansari states that the telephone number of the concerned Beat Constable and the Station House Officer shall be provided to the petitioners to enable them to seek immediate assistance in case of any exigency. 6.

No further orders are sought in this petition. 7.

Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of. 8.

It is made clear that notice has not been issued to respondent No. 4, and this order is not to be construed as an expression of opinion as the petitioners allegations against her.
