% 04.03.2024 By way of the present petition under section 29(A)(4) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996 ('A&C Act'), the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator who is seized of the disputes between the parties.

Mrs. Amrita Paraksh, learned Central Government Standing Counsel ('CGSC') is present on behalf of the respondent on advance copy; accepts notice; and does not oppose the petition. 4.
The record shows that the learned Sole Arbitrator was appointed vide order dated 08.07.2021 made in ARB. P. No. 482/2021. The last extended mandate of the learned Arbitrator expired on 29.02.2024. 5.

voluminous record, the learned Sole Arbitrator has sought further time to pass the award.

Upon a conspectus of the averments contained in the petition and the submissions made, the petition is allowed; and the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for 03 months, as prayed-for. 7.
It is further observed that any arbitral proceedings conducted after the expiration of the previous mandate shall also stand regularised and validated.

Petition stands disposed-of in the above terms. 9.
