By order dated 03.03.2025, it was recorded as follows: "1. The petitioners are contractual employees in respondent No.2 - Pandit Deendayal Upadhaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (Divyangjan). They claim to be serving against sanctioned posts. They rely upon an Office Memorandum dated 04.09.2019 issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, granting contractual employees minimum basic pay with dearness allowance in the relevant pay scale, at par with regular employees.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners also draws my attention to the judgment of the Supreme Court in State of Punjab and Others v. Jagjit Singh and Others, [(2017) 1 SCC 148]. He submits that the petitioners have made various representations to respondent No.2, which have not been answered.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied with a direction upon the respondents, particularly respondent No.2, to consider the petitioners'

representations and dispose of the same within a specific time frame.

4. Issue notice. Ms. Neha Rastogi, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 and 2, and seeks time to take instructions.

Ms. Neha Rastogi, learned counsel for the respondents, has taken instructions and states that the respondents will treat the writ petition as a representation, and dispose of the same within six weeks from today. 3.

The writ petition is disposed of, in terms of the aforesaid submissions of Ms. Rastogi, leaving all rights and contentions of the parties open for adjudication in future, if necessary.
