CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 26.02.2019 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2 and the entire settled amount has already been paid by the petitioner to respondent No.2, therefore, FIR No. 87/2015 under Sections 135 Electricity Act, 2003 registered at Police Station Neb Sarai and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed.
Learned counsel for respondent no. 2 says that respondent has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR is quashed, as settlement has indeed been arrived at and settled amount stands paid.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and
respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
