It appears that the petitioner sent a complaint to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), which was redirected to the local police for action in accordance with law. That letter redirecting the complaint is represented by the petitioner as order of NHRC. In the said letter (Annexure C), the NHRC directed the concerned authority to take appropriate action within eight weeks associating the complainant/victim and to inform him/her of the action taken in the matter.

The present petition was filed claiming that till date the said directions of NHRC have not been complied with and the petitioner has not been informed.

On behalf of State, learned counsel filed with index dated 18.03.2025, copy of RTI reply whereby the petitioner was informed that the action taken report has been prepared and he could obtain copy thereof. The said RTI reply bears acknowledgement of the petitioner. 5.
But about receipt of that RTI reply, the petitioner remained silent and concealing the same, filed the present petition with the prayers including the prayer for informing him about the action taken. 6.
On the concealment being pointed out, learned counsel for petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this petition with liberty to file fresh petition disclosing complete facts.

The petition is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as sought.
