Writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 („BNSS‟) has been preferred on behalf of petitioners with following prayers:- "It is, therefore, prayed that the Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ[s], order[s] and direction[s] to respondents No. 1 to 4 to provide security/protection to the lives and liberty of petitioners to enable them to lead happy and peaceful lives gracefully, without any fear, terror of danger to their lives and liberty, in the interest of justice and to maintain Rule of Law. It is also prayed that the respondents No, l to 4 may kindly be directed to ensure the entry of petitioners in their respective houses without any obstruction or interference, m the interest of justice. Learned ASC for the State / respondent no. 1 to 4 appears on advance notice."

Learned ASC for the State/respondent Nos. 1 to 4 appears on advance notice and on instructions of SI Manu Chaudhary, submits that the matter is being enquired into but the complainants /petitioners have not been forthcoming for recording of their statements. phone numbers of IO and SHO have been shared with the learned counsel for petitioners to obviate apprehensions, if any, by the petitioners. 3.

Taking the statement of learned ASC for the State on record, petition is accordingly disposed of, with directions to SHO, PS concerned to inform the outcome of the action taken on complaint of petitioners, within a period of four weeks. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. It is clarified that no opinion has been expressed on the merits of complaint filed on behalf of the petitioners.
