The applicant seeks regular bail in connection with FIR No. 401/2025 dated 06.05.2025, registered at Police Station Seemapuri, under Sections 74 and 76 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. 2.

The prosecutrix in the FIR is an eight-year-old child. It is an admitted position that the trial is nearing completion, with 14 out of 15 witnesses already examined and only one formal witness remaining. 3.

In these circumstances, Mr. Vijay Goswami, learned counsel for the petitioner, does not press the present bail application and instead seeks liberty to move the learned Sessions Court for expeditious disposal of the matter, if so required.

The petition is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn in terms of the aforesaid submission.
