CM(M) 132/2020 This petition has been filed with the limited prayer for a direction to the learned Trial Court to decide the Guardianship Petition No.1/2019 within a time bound manner.

The petitioner asserts that the Guardianship Petition has been transferred to the Family Courts, Saket, New Delhi by an order dated 27.08.2012 passed by the Supreme Court in Transfer Petition (Civil) No.654/2012. Thereafter, on the death of the wife of the petitioner, it was ordered to be treated as a petition under the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 by an order dated 24.02.2016. Thereafter, the petition has been heard on a number of occasions, however, due to change of the learned Presiding Officers, the orders are yet to be pronounced.

Having considered the submissions made in the petition, the learned Trial Court is requested to hear and decide the abovementioned petition as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of five months. The petition is allowed in the above terms.
