This is a petition seeking quashing of FIR No. 632/2017 under Sections 63/65 of Copyright Act registered at PS Shakarpur, Delhi dated 14.10.2017.

It is stated that the petitioner was not even named in the FIR but was subsequently named in the disclosure statement of the co-accused. 3.

During the pendency of the proceedings, parties have arrived at a settlement wherein petitioner has paid the entire amount of Rs. 7 lakhs to the respondent No. 2 as full and final settlement 4.

My attention has been drawn to a No Due Certificate issued by the respondent No. 2 on receipt of Rs. 7 lakhs.

In terms of the settlement, entire amount has been paid and respondent No. 2 has issued No Due Certificate which is taken on record. 6.

free will without any threat, pressure, coercion or undue influence. 7.

I am of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the FIR any further on the ground that the parties have arrived at a voluntary settlement and settled their disputes. 8.

I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings as permitted to continue any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings. 9.

Hence, FIR No. 632/2017 under Sections 63/65 of Copyright Act registered at PS Shakarpur, Delhi dated 14.10.2017 and consequential proceedings emanating therefrom is hereby quashed only against the petitioner and not against the other co-accused. 10.

The petition is disposed of.
