OMP(Misc.)(Comm) 66/2019 This petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for the Sole Arbitrator to pass the Award. The reasons for delay in passing of the Award is stated to be the filing of the Counter Claim by the respondent at a later stage of the arbitration proceedings.

The learned counsel for the respondent who appears on advance notice submits that the respondent has no objection if the time for making of the Award is extended by this Court.

Having perused the contents of the petition and no objection expressed by the respondent, the time for making of the Award is extended by a further period of twelve months with effect from 16.02.2019.
