This review petition has been filed by the respondent no.2 seeking review of the order passed by this Court on 24th March, 2026 disposing of the aforesaid writ petition.

The respondent no.2 is the landlord of the property bearing No. 40/43, Lower Ground Floor, Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi - 110019 (hereinafter The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the review petitioner submits that the order passed by this Court may be modified to the extent that fresh electricity connection should be granted in the name of the respondent no.2. He expresses an apprehension that if the electricity connected is granted in the name of the petitioner, the petitioner will claim ownership rights over the subject property.

Mr. Annirudh Sharma, counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner does not object to the same.

Accordingly, paragraph 8 of the order passed by this Court on 24th March, 2026 is reviewed and modified. The modified paragraph 8 shall read as under:
i.
The petitioner shall pay the arrears of consumption charges, if any, as demanded by the respondent no.1/BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. (hereinafter 'BRPL').
ii.
Upon the petitioner clearing the arrears of consumption charges and obtaining an NOC from respondent no.1, respondent no.2 shall comply with all codal and commercial formalities for a grant of a new electricity connection in the name of the respondent no.2 within two
(2) weeks from today.
iii.
In addition to the regular security deposit, the respondent no.2 shall deposit a sum of Rs. 25,000/- as additional security deposit with the respondent no.1/ BRPL.
iv.
Petitioner alone shall be responsible for making payment of current consumption charges in accordance with bills raised by BRPL The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

v.
Respondent no.1/BRPL shall be entitled to disconnect the electricity connection in the event of non-payment of current consumption charges.
