Heard the learned counsel for the parties. In pursuance to our order passed on 05.03.2025, learned counsel representing the Railways has produced before us the decision taken by the Director (Land & Amenities), Railway Board. The said letter is taken on record. The decision embodied in the letter dated 06.03.2025 has been taken in pursuance of the order passed by this Court earlier on 08.01.2025 in W.P.(C) No.17655/2024, which was filed by the petitioner. Railways to remove the encroachments and further a Circular has been issued by the Railway Board on 26.11.2024 which is addressed to the General Managers, All Zonal Railways, for taking effective steps for removal of encroachments.

In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of this writ petition with the direction that the decisions taken as reflected in the letter dated 06.03.2025 and Circular dated 26.11.2024 shall be implemented strictly and the Railways shall take effective steps for removal of the encroachment from Railway land and to take possession thereof.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
