The Petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:- "Under these facts and circumstances, it is most respectfully prayed that your lordship may kindly be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other Writ or order to the respondents to take necessary action as upon the complaint/petition of petitioner dated 17-122021 and for timely disposal of complaint/petition of petitioner within time as stipulated under law, in the interest of justice.

Or any other and further orders or directions may be passed which your lordships deem fit and necessary in the interest of justice"

It is stated that the Petitioner has filed the complaint under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act in the year 2021 but the complaint is not being disposed of. 3.

Learned Counsel for the Respondent states that the matter came up for hearing on several occasions, i.e., 25.06.2022, 06.07.2022, 10.08.2022, 28.09.2022, 23.11.2022, 14.03.2023, 24.03.2023, 17.04.2023, 26.05.2023, 28.06.2023, 23.08.2023, 25.10.2023, 27.12.2023 and 21.02.2024 and thus, a total of 14 hearings have taken. It is stated that the Petitioner was absent on 26.05.2023, 28.06.2023, 25.10.2023 and 27.12.2023. 4.

This writ petition is nothing but an abuse of the process of law. The case is again listed for hearing on 10.04.2024. This Court is not inclined to entertain the present writ petition.

For wasting the time of the Court and suppressing the relevant facts, this Court is inclined to impose a token penalty of Rs.500/- on the Petitioner, to be deposited with the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund within four weeks from today.
