Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.

The application stands disposed of.

CRL.M.C. 654/2020 1.

The present proceedings are instituted seeking quashing of FIR No. 186/2011 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC registered at Police Station Ambedkar Nagar, New Delhi on the ground that parties have settled their disputes.

Ms. Neelam Sharma, learned APP for the State submits that the charge sheet was filed against four petitioners out of which one Babita has been discharged and Kusum Lata (petitioner No. 3) has expired on 06.07.2018. Death certificate to this effect has been placed on record. 3.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that the parties have arrived at CRL.M.C. 654/2020

a settlement on 12.07.2018. A copy of the same is annexed with the petition as Annexure-B. In terms of the settlement, respondent No. 2 is now left with no claim whatsoever against the petitioners.

The petitioners and respondent No. 2 who are present in person are identified by their respective counsels and the Investigating Officer. 5.

Respondent No. 2, who is present in Court, submits that she has entered into the settlement with her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties are bound by the statements made in Court today. 8.

In view of the above facts and since the disputes are matrimonial in nature, no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of. 10.

Order dasti to the counsels for the parties.
