The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeks the following prayers: - "a. Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent to release the petitioner on regular Parole for a period of 30 days; OR b. Direct the respondent to decide the petitioner's application for parole dated 16.11.2024 forthwith;

c. Pass any other order or further orders, which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the interest of justice;" 3.

It is pointed out that the petitioner's application for parole is still pending before the Competent Authority.

Accordingly, let the Competent Authority decide the application within a period of 2 weeks.
