O R D E R

% 19.02.2019 By this petition the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to re-establish social ties and find out a suitable match for his sister. The petitioner also challenges the communication dated 7th January, 2019 whereby his application seeking parole on the grounds aforesaid was rejected for the reason that the petitioner is involved in multiple murders and there are no special circumstances to grant parole. A status report has been handed-over as per which the petitioner's elder sister aged 45 years is a widow and thus he wants to find out a suitable match for her and get her re-married.

A perusal of the nominal roll of the petitioner reveals that the petitioner has been granted three furloughs in the year 2018 and now from March 2018 since the new conviction year will start, the petitioner would W.P.(CRL) 542/2019

again be entitled to furloughs. The petitioner availed his last furlough with effect from 4th October, 2018 to 18th October, 2018 which time could also have been utilized for the purposes as noted above. Considering the fact that the petitioner is being released on furlough as and when entitled and the requirement as stated in the present petition of re-establishing social ties and looking for a match can also be met with when the petitioner is on furlough, this Court finds no ground to grant parole to the petitioner.

Petition is dismissed.
