CRL.M.C. 2193/2026 & & CRL.M.A. 9024/2026 3.

By way of the present petition, the petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR bearing no. 150/2017, registered at Police Station Swaroop Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 354/354D/506/509/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 4.

The petitioners and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court in person and have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Swaroop Nagar, Delhi. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

5.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the respondent no. 2, in the year 2009, while she was studying in 9th standard, became friends with Ms. Pinky, who is the sister of the petitioners. Due to frequent visits of respondent No. 2 to the petitioners' house, respondent no.2 gradually developed a friendship which later turned into a consensual romantic relationship. They remained in a harmonious relationship for a considerable period. However, during 2016-17 due to some misunderstanding, various dispute had arisen between them. Thereafter, on the complaint of respondent no.2, the present FIR was registered against the petitioners. 6.

It is stated that during the pendency of the case, both the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 17.02.2026.

7.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2, who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Respondent no. 2 further states that she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

8.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion or threat, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 150/2017, registered at Police Station Swaroop Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 354/354D/506/509/34 of the IPC and all consequential proceedings The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

emanating therefrom are quashed.

10.

In view of the above, the present writ petition stands disposed of. 11.
