The instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter "BNSS") has been preferred by the petitioner seeking the following reliefs:

"A. Pass an Order issuing a Writ of Habeas Corpus for production of Petitioner's daughter, Mohini, who has been missing since 12.02.2025, before this Hon'ble Court; B. Pass any such other Order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fir in the interest of justice."

Brief facts of the case are that the petitioner's daughter, aged 28 years, is a graduate from Delhi University. She has also completed a fashion designing course from the Air Force Vocational College, New Delhi, and is presently undergoing training at the Orane International School of Beauty The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. On 12th February, 2025, at around 2:15 P.M., she is stated to have left her training centre at Kanhaiya Nagar but did not return home thereafter. Consequently, the petitioner lodged a complaint at Police Station Subhash Place, Delhi, which was registered vide G.D. No. 69A. 4.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel, submits that the missing girl has been traced in Katihar and is stated to have married a boy of her own volition. He further submits that the girl may be permitted to join the proceedings via video call.

The Investigating Officer connected a video call with the girl during the hearing. On a query put by this Court, the girl confirmed that she had married a boy out of her free will and without any coercion, and that she is living happily with him.

The petitioner was also given an opportunity to speak with his daughter.

In view of the fact that the girl is a major, aged 28 years, and has voluntarily chosen to marry and reside with her husband, no further orders are required in the present matter.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
