After some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition.

This Court is of the view that since the petitioner is in custody for last eight and a half years and trial is yet to conclude, this Court deems it appropriate to request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial and dispose of the case, preferably within six months. 3.

The petition, along with pending application(s), if any, is dismissed as withdrawn.
