The petitioner has filed this petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution, against the Delhi Transport Corporation ["DTC"], which was the employer of her late husband, for release of his pensionary benefits.

The DTC is a notified entity for the purpose of jurisdiction of the Central Administrative Tribunal ["the Tribunal"]. The writ petition is, therefore, not maintainable before this Court in the first instance in view of the judgment of the Supreme Court in L. Chandra Kumar v. Union of India and Ors. [(1997) 3 SCC 261], and as explained in several later decisions including the Division Bench judgment of this Court in Parikshit Grewal & Ors. v. Mr. Girish Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that several representations filed by the petitioner remain unanswered. In view of this request, Mrs. Avnish Alhawat, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- DTC, is requested to ensure that the representations are answered within a period of four weeks from today. 4.

Subject to the above, the petitioner is permitted to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the Tribunal. 5.

The writ petition, alongwith pending applications, is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as aforesaid.
