This writ petition has been filed on behalf of the Petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking the following reliefs:- "(1) Allow the present writ petition and;

(2) Issue a writ/order/direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the respondent no.1 provide adequate security to the petitioners to enable them to carry on their work and profession within the jurisdiction of PS Sadar Bazar.

(3) Issue a writ/order/direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the respondent no.1 to take necessary legal action against the respondent no. 2 to 4."

When the matter was listed on 31.03.2022, Court was informed by the learned ASC appearing on behalf of the State that preventive action proceedings had been taken against Petitioners and private Respondents under Sections 107/150 Cr.P.C. vide DD No. 98A dated 24.03.2022. 380/427/506/34 IPC at PS: Sadar Bazar, on application of the complainant Chander Prakash and the investigation was ongoing. 3.

Status report has been filed on behalf of the State. Complainant alleged that at about 10:30 a.m. on 22.02.2022, Ved Prakash, Vicky and Sunny had quarrelled with him and took away his CCTV cameras, however, as there were no injuries, he refused the medical examination. Opposite party denied the allegations and later stated that they will settle the matter amicably and hence the PCR call was filed. In the evening, Petitioner No.1 made a complaint that he had purchased a property along with Chander Prakash and Ved Prakash and sons Vicky, Atul and Sunny are pressuring him to sell the property and threatening to kill. One more complaint was received on 03.03.2022. From the contents of the complaint, offences under Sections 427/506/34 IPC were made out and NCR vide No.0005/2022 dated 23.03.2022 was lodged.

It is in this background that preventive action was taken and Kalandara was issued binding both the parties to keep peace. FIR bearing No.254/2022 has been registered and investigation is on. It is further stated that contact numbers of the Beat Staff as well as IC/PP Ahata Kidara have been provided to the Petitioners and they have been apprised that in case of any emergency, they may contact on these numbers. Simultaneously, concerned police officials have also been apprised about the matter and directed to respond to any call received from the Petitioners and to provide necessary help.

Learned ASC appearing on behalf of the State reiterates that all necessary help will be provided to the Petitioners in case of any call received from them and all necessary action has been taken by the police. In view of the Status Report and the assurance of the State to provide necessary help to the Petitioners, in case they so require, no further order is required to be passed in the present petition and the same is accordingly disposed of.
