After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in case directions are issued for expeditious recording of the prosecution evidence, he shall not press this application at this stage. 2.
Keeping in view the totality of facts and circumstances, trial court is directed to expedite the proceedings and endeavour to conclude the recording of the prosecution witnesses within a period of six months from the next date of hearing before the trial court. 3.
In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petition.

The petition is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid directions.
