CRL.M.C. 706/2020 1.

The present proceedings are instituted seeking quashing of FIR No.48/2019, under Sections 135 of Indian Electricity Act (Amendment), 2003 registered at P.S. Maidan Garhi, Delhi on the ground that the parties have settled their disputes.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that they have entered into a settlement before Permanent Lok Adalat for a sum of Rs.1,75,000. A No CRL.M.C. 706/2020

Dues Certificate is placed on record which is annexed as Annexure-P3 with the petition. In terms of the settlement, respondent No. 2 is now left with no claim whatsoever against the petitioner.

The petitioner, who is present in person, is identified by his counsel and the Investigating Officer.

It is stated on behalf of Respondent No. 2 that respondent No.2 has entered into the settlement and learned counsel for respondent No.2, on instructions, submits that respondent No.2 has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties are bound by the statements made in Court today. 7.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 8.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of. 9.

Order dasti to the counsels for the parties.
