O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be granted parole for a period of two months in order to attend to his ailing mother.

The nominal roll has been furnished, which indicates that the petitioner has already undergone physical custody of seven years seven months and three days as on 09.02.2020.

During the aforesaid period, he has also earned remission of one year and three months. He is now required to serve a further period of one year one month and twenty-seven days. His conduct in jail during the last one year has been satisfactory. 3.

It is seen that the petitioner was released on parole and furlough on numerous occasions and there is no allegation that he had misused this

liberty.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that the medical condition of the petitioner's mother has been verified. 5.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks subject to the petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- and one surety of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent.

The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi. He shall also provide his contact details, including a mobile number, and ensure that he is reachable at all times.
